Henry High School (1926-2020)---100th anniversary in 2026
History of Patrick Henry High School - Minneapolis, MN
Henry Junior High was built in 1926, and served as a junior high until 1937 when the Patrick Henry High School's first freshman class started. Those freshmen graduated in 1941.
There were building additions in 1928, 1929, 1939, 1956 and a new main entrance built on Newton Avenue in the 21st Century (major renovations occurred 2018-2019). In fact, the address of the school changed when the main entrance changed from Morgan Avenue to Newton Avenue in the 1990's (New address: 4320 Newton Ave. N. Minneapolis, MN 55412....old address - 2020 43rd Avenue North).
