Creating a virtual all-class reunion on this website as our community battles the COVID-19 pandemic
Patrick Henry Patriots Unite!
The purpose of our non-profit website is to provide a platform to strengthen our community in these very trying times. We now have an opportunity to come together to rediscover our high school roots and to help unite as a whole based on our common identities as graduates of Patrick Henry High School. Please send your photos from your time at Henry to me at DaveBerger2004@yahoo.com I have about 300 photos from Henry under photo gallery and throughout our website. I would like to add another 2,000 or so with your help! With a little more time on our hands at home in our current crisis, many of us can find old high school photos in a closet or a storage area. I found some interesting artifacts myself....including a ticket to our 1981 Patrick Henry High School commencement ceremony (see photo at right)!
As we create this collective memory website through photographs, current and former Patrick Henry classmates can then peruse and reminisce and reflect on our lives. In these very disruptive and trying times it will be a breath of fresh air to think about the simpler times and to share photos and memories. Please send your Henry photos in digital form (scan or take a photo of your original non-digital photos and send as an attachment). Also, it would be great if you could send a caption with each photo on when, where, who, what, and why the photo was taken.
This can be a way to get to discover ourselves and our common heritage together. This website can become a refuge from the social anxiety and fear that many are experiencing during this pandemic. By working together to rekindle our collective past we can help each other in this chaotic present.
Please also send your ideas on how we can improve this virtual class reunion!
